The Pacific Northwest Barbecue Association - The Pacific Northwest Barbecue Association a recognized affiliate of the world famous Kansas City BBQ Society. It was formed in 1991 by a group of Northwestern barbecuers. Over the years it has grown from 20 members to over 400 internationally. The PNWBA publishes a news letter called Drippings from the Pit. This publication reaches it's 400 plus members informing them about the world of BBQ in our region.*

The Greater Omaha Barbeque Society (GOBS) was formed in 1992 to promote the art and science of genuine barbeque in the Omaha area and to rganize the annual Barbeque Championship of Nebraska.
